Introduction to 3D Animation
After taking the technical character animation course, I decided to pursue my animation hobby and to further develop my modeling, rigging, and animation skills. “The Porcupine” shows a short story of a shy porcupine who tried to pick up an apple and got startled by the thunder. With the help of Zbrush and Maya, I was able to create the character from scratch. After creating the texture using Substance Painter, I rigged and animated the porcupine in Maya.
The character could be benefit from more facial expressions, and the environment building could use more work. Those improvements could be my next step.
